About metals-Classification by our company-

Today, I would like to talk about the metals we handle.

First of all, our classification of metals is roughly divided into two. “Iron” and “non-ferrous metal”. These two.
“Iron” is classified as metal scrap and steel in the “SERVICE” section of our website.
Aluminum, copper, stainless steel, lead, brass, etc. are classified as “non-ferrous metals”.

Then, how to distinguish “iron” from “other than that” is surprisingly easy, and it is judged by whether or not it sticks to the magnet.
Of the above “iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, lead, brass”, iron is actually the only metal that sticks to the magnet.
Stainless steel may also react with magnets, but since stainless steel is an alloy of iron mixed with a metal called chromium, it reacts with iron in stainless steel.

Also, there are various classifications in iron, but it will be a little longer, so I will talk about it at another time.
